Harry Potter Horcruxes Ranked By Difficulty Of Obtaining Them

Harry Potter Horcruxes Ranked By Difficulty Of Obtaining Them If the Horcruxes were easy to obtain, the seventh film would have been a lot shorter. It's time to rank the Horcruxes by how hard they were to get. As if defeating Lord Voldemort was already hard enough, Harry Potter was left reeling in the Half Blood Prince when he was informed that He Who Must Not Be Named had taken measures to ensure he was, pretty much, immortal. The Dark Lord had, years previously, chosen to create Horcruxes - tiny bits of your soul that are stored inside an object to ensure your survival. Harry then spends the best part of 18 months tracking down the items, getting rid of them one by one before besting Voldemort himself during an epic final showdown at the battle of Hogwarts. We now rank each Horcrux by how difficult it was to obtain and destroy - starting with the easiest to the hardest. 7 Harry Himself Obviously, finding out you’re a Horcrux is a pretty difficult thing to comprehend. And poor Har...

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Ravenclaws are known for their wisdom, intelligence, and wit. Which of them also exhibit enough bravery to rival any Gryffindor?

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

When Harry arrived at Hogwarts, he already knew the houses' names, but the Sorting Hat's song is where he learned of their characteristics. Bravery is valued by Gryffindor, but that does not devalue other students. As the Harry Potter universe expanded, the diversity of the houses and students became evident.

Ravenclaw is no exception. Ravenclaws are known for their intelligence and individuality, but there are some, like Luna Lovegood and Professor Flitwick, that also exhibit great bravery. Unite a Ravenclaw's traits with bravery, and the result is a wizard or witch who will rise to the occasion when needed.

10 Uric the Oddball

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

While individuality is valued among Ravenclaws, some individuals go above and beyond. Enter Uric the Oddball, a medieval wizard that Harry learned about in The Sorcerer's Stone. In the wider Wizarding World, Uric is a punchline because of his eccentricities, from wearing a jellyfish as a hat to multiple failed attempts of walking through walls because he thought became a ghost.

It takes a great amount of bravery for somebody to stay true to themselves and be who they want to be. In that regard, Uric was rich in bravery because of how eccentric he was and not being upset by ridicule. It is up for wizardkind debate, though, if whether or not Uric's bravery was because he was unconcerned, or because he was blissfully unaware.

9 Quirinus Quirrell

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Professor Quirrell was the final villain in The Sorcerer's Stone as the host of Voldemort's shattered soul. His weak, nervous attitude was a facade that hid a much more cunning mind as he plotted to resurrect his master. Additional online material by J.K Rowling explored Quirrell further, detailing how he was teased as a boy because of his inadequacy, and seeking out Voldemort was a misguided attempt to gain recognition.

Inadequacy, lack of confidence, and low self-esteem are things that everyone has felt, and it is hard to be brave and do something about it. It cannot be denied then that Quirrell was brave in trying to overcome his timidity and seeking out a means to be acknowledged and respected. It is unfortunate, then, that he paid a terrible price for his poor judgment.

8 Sybil Trelawney

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Upon her introduction in Prisoner of Azkaban, this Divination teacher was perceived unfavorably by Harry because of her unpleasant "predictions" of doom and gloom. Things got worse for her as the series progressed, as she developed an addiction to sherry, became a recluse in her tower, and suffered a breakdown after being fired. It seemed that there was no bravery at all in Sybil Trelawney.

Nevertheless, Professor Trelawney had her moments, such as confronting Dumbledore over her duties after the employment of the centaur Firenze. Her loyalty to Hogwarts was also unquestionable, as she bravely defended the castle and fought in the climax of Deathly Hallows. Professor Trelawney is an example of how deep within everyone, there is a spark of bravery that will ignite when the moment is right.

7 Garrick Ollivander

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

The kind-hearted Mr. Ollivander was introduced as the Wizarding World's foremost authority on wand making in The Sorcerer's Stone. He was also crucial in the defeat of Voldemort after supplying Harry information about the fabled Elder Wand, and online material delved further into Mr. Ollivander alongside an exploration into the complexities and mysteries of a wand, such as wood type, length, and animal cores.

Ollivander's family has been making and selling wands since 382 BC, and over a thousand years of predecessors is a lot to live up to. As such, his bravery in undertaking this intricate vocation and continuing this long tradition is admirable. So far there haven't been any unsatisfied customers, so it can be assumed that he has more than succeeded in bravely carrying on the family business.

6 Tulip Karasu

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

The mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery introduced players to new students, including the prankster Tulip Karasu. Quirky, mischievous, and rebellious, players discovered that she had a history with Slytherin Merula Snyde. They befriended each other to locate the mystical Cursed Vaults within Hogwarts, but their underhanded methods drove them apart, resulting in a dejected Tulip that no longer trusted herself and anybody else.

Thanks to encouragement from the player, Tulip's burnt-out bravery was reignited. Afterward, she continued to showcase her bravery by staging distracting pranks for the player to accomplish their goals, and directly aided in finding the Cursed Vaults. Tulip is one of the most valued companions in the game, and a force to be reckoned with when bravery is combined with Ravenclaw's intelligence.

5 Cho Chang

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Cho Chang went through the wringer after her introduction in Prisoner of Azkaban. Goblet of Fire had her fall in love with Cedric Diggory only for him to be killed, Order of the Phoenix saw her suffering emotional distress and a disastrous relationship with Harry, and in Half-Blood Prince, Cho faded into the background after Harry fell for Ginny Weasley. Needless to say, Cho had it rough.

It is easy to forget the brave face Cho wore throughout it all. She supported Harry during the government's smear campaign, joined Dumbledore's Army, defended her traitorous friend Marietta, and even returned to participate in the final battle for Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows. It takes an inordinate amount of bravery to get up again even after great hardship, and the bravery Cho exhibited is commendable.

4 Talbott Winger

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Talbott Winger also debuted in Hogwarts Mystery. This mysterious character aspired to be an Auror, rarely socialized and preferred to be alone. He had few friends, but through a sidequest, the player eventually befriended Talbott, saw through his aloofness, learned of his tragic past, and kept his secret.

Talbott's parents fought in the first war against Voldemort, and his mother taught him to be an Animagus in the event something happened. That event sadly came when his parents were killed and Talbott escaped, making him distrustful of others until he befriended the player. Talbott was brave all of his life, growing up alone, overcoming his past, and becoming a vital ally in the game's story.

3 Michael Corner

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Michael Corner was Ginny's boyfriend throughout Order of the Phoenix. It was through Ginny's influence that Michael joined Dumbledore's Army to learn defensive magic, and the relationship did not please her brother Ron. By the end of the story, Ginny dumped Michael, and he made only minor appearances in Half-Blood Prince as Harry's classmate.

Come Deathly Hallows and Voldemort's takeover of Hogwarts, Michael was thrust back into the spotlight with a notable act of bravery. He rejoined Dumbledore's Army to resist the Death Eater regime and, in one instance, freed a fellow student from captivity. For his troubles, Michael was captured and cruelly tortured, but he fortunately survived and participated in the final battle for Hogwarts.

2 Filius Flitwick

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

Once upon a time, the kind, cheerful Charms Master was also a student. Flitwick quickly learned to be brave the moment he set foot into Hogwarts because of his goblin ancestry and judgment from others. The Sorting Hat sensed this trait in the young Flitwick and, in fact, almost sorted him in Gryffindor before it decided on Ravenclaw.

Bravery followed Flitwick throughout his career, as he also became a dueling champion. Even when he became a professor and head of Ravenclaw, he was brave and tough to the core when he remained at Hogwarts during the Death Eater takeover, protected the students, and fought in the final battle against Voldemort. With his talents, traits, and bravery, Professor Flitwick is not to be underestimated.

1 Luna Lovegood

Harry Potter The 10 Bravest Ravenclaws

First introduced in Order of the Phoenix, Luna Lovegood is a beloved character in the franchise. She is arguably the best embodiment of the valued Ravenclaw traits - Luna is unconventionally wise, insightful, and is unafraid to be herself. These quirks and eccentricities left her with no friends until she became acquainted with Harry during one fateful train ride to Hogwarts.

Luna's experiences with The Golden Trio showed just how brave she is. In the last three entries in the series, she was an integral member of Dumbledore's Army by participating in the rescue of Sirius Black, resisting the Death Eaters at Hogwarts, and dueling Bellatrix Lestrange in the final battle against Voldemort. Unflappable, loyal, and courageous, Luna's bravery is never in doubt.
